Winemaker

A La Morra estate of 6 hectares β€” Nebbiolo across three crus, made into one traditional Barolo with long maceration and aging in Slavonian botti. The winemaker's name is shared with the Crew on enrollment; until then the platform stands behind the data, the track record, and the samples.

The history.

The farm was bought in 1921. We still have the original books. Nebbiolo, always. No Barbera, no Dolcetto sold under this estate's name. Four generations, one grape.

What this vintage is showing so far.

β€œNebbiolo wakes up late β€” we're behind everyone else in the hills and that's how it should be. The fog came every morning this week. Exactly what Barolo needs.”

β€” the winemaker, updated this month

Philosophy.

Traditional Barolo. Long macerations, long aging in botti grandi, no barrique. This estate has made wine this way for generations and still does. The market can move β€” the wine does not.

Nebbiolo is behind schedule, like always. I don't worry. The old saying here: Barolo waits.
